Hello,
There are many rooting tutorials available on internet for Canvas 2 Plus, but still there are many users reporting the unsuccessful methods and are unable to Root their phones. So here is a sure-shot procedure which you can use to use your phone in some simple steps.
Root A110q C2+, A116 HD, Canvas 4, Any MT6589
This guide is to Root Stock ROM V1. If you have V2 ROM there is a different procedure. Click Here! You can find V1 or V2 by seeing your phone's "Custom Build Version" in Settings > About.
If it ends with "xx_MMX_12_flasher_user" then its V1 and if it is "xx_MMX_16_flasher_user" then it is V2.
Follow the steps properly in order to root your phone successfully.
Note: For rooting driver you need to activate USB debugging mode in your phone.For this Goto Settings > About > Tap Multiple times on build number. This will open 'Developer Options' Now, Goto Settings > Developer Options > Enable USB Debugging
- Install the driver as per instructions : Rooting Drivers
- Download following file: Download
- Extract the folder
- Connect your phone via USB cable
- Open the extracted folder and right click on "Run.bat" file and Select "Run as Administrator" option.
- Press "Enter" key to Root your phone.
- Your phone will restart. Done!
- Check for SuperUser application
If you find Superuser app then you are rooted. Also you can verify by using "Root Checker" app from Play Store. If you are not rooted still, reply here, I will help you out.
Note: Rooting voids your warranty. So know the consequences before doing it. Though it take hardly 15 mins to make phone back in warranty. ;)
